After an early leak of photos, the new BMW M6 Gran Coupe – complete with 4.4 litre bi-turbo V8 and 553bhp – arrives ahead of a Detroit Auto Show debut. Just as expected, the M6 Gran Coupe comes with BMW’s 4.4 litre twin-turbo V8, delivering 553bhp to the baqck wheels and driving the M6 to 62mph in 4.2 seconds. Fisker showed off its new Surf station wagon at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show this week. As correctly revealed by CAR Online, Fisker's Frankfurt surprise was a more practical version of the Karma range-extener hybrid. It's starting to look as if the baby Volvo Crossover - the XC30 - is getting close
The rumour mill has been working on a smaller crossover/SUV from Volvo for a long time – since just about the time that the Volvo C30 first hit the road. And it’s a car that makes a lot of sense, especially in the current market. So it’s not any sort of surprise to see the rumour resurface, but we’re a bit peeved to have missed (until now) the comment that’s being attributed to Lex Kerssemakers – Volvo’s Overseas Corporate Strategy President – from Geneva when he apparently said “There will be some further expansion of the XC range in the near future”.
